A Mystery Novel Set in Morro Bay,
California
by
K.M. Kavanagh
Book
Description
When a body is found at a Morro
Bay construction site, authorities rule the death as accidental.
Family members are not convinced. The victim's grandson was found
locked inside the deceased's Plymouth Woodie hiding under a blanket,
traumatized and unable to speak. A few weeks later, the
nine-year-old boy still remains silent.
The boy's father, Harry Hines,
asks P.I. Rock Martinez to look into his father's death. Though
reluctant to uncover something that could hurt his friend, Rock
accepts the job. It's a decision he soon regrets. When past
deceptions converge with present corruption, trouble hits back hard.
As Rock continues to unravel the truth, the game turns deadly. It's
a race against time and players who will do anything to win.
"Rock of Morro Bay has a
superb balance of scary and funny lacing this marvelous debut about
a grandfather's witnessed by a young grandson. P.I. Rock Martinez,
the owner of two smart-talking Amazon parrots, investigates the
case, which unfolds against the Central Coast of California. Great
story, funny, excellent writing."
